WHO ARE THEY AND WHY DO YOU NEED ONE?

If there’s one thing we’ve seen a ‘rise’ of in this century that didn’t exist in the last one; it’s content creators! Taking the social media world by storm, and now available for your very own wedding day - what exactly is a ‘wedding content creator’ and why do you need one for your wedding day?

“It seems we love to film everyone and everything on our phones, right?” says Abi from The Social Hun - an online wedding content creator. “You’re on a high the day after and are texting all your friends just to try and find some shots of your wedding. You don’t need to worry about that with a content creator on hand.”

Think of a content creator as your wedding day PA: in addition to your photographer - who will capture all of those beautiful styled shots - your wedding content creator will be on hand to snap behind-the-scenes moments and provide you with raw, fun footage to post on your social media channels - typically as quick as 24 or 48 hours later!

The service has already been hugely popular amongst celebrities and public figures - a great example is Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing’s epic 2023 wedding. Being public figures, there’s a huge demand from their audience to see photos from their wedding straight away, so a content creator was the best way to provide this. We’re now seeing more couples opt for this service at their own wedding, so they can look through these special memories whilst the buzz of the wedding day is still high.

“All content captured is filmed on an iPhone so you get to relive the memories almost instantly with an album full of unedited photos and videos sent to you within 24 hours,” says Abi. “It also means that you don’t need to allocate a guest to make sure they take certain pictures for you during the day.”

“A wedding content creator is also great if you’re having a ‘no phones’ rule at your wedding. It means that everyone can put away their phones and enjoy the day, without worrying about capturing any of those candid moments. “

You should keep in mind that a wedding content creator is not a replacement service for a photographer or videographer - you will undoubtedly still want those beautifully curated images that a photographer or videographer will capture - but they’ll be able to work alongside each other to make sure every moment has been snapped!
