For the Love of Pink
Introduction
It goes without saying that being an editor of a wedding magazine is an absolute dream, but believe it or believe it not, some days it can be an absolute nightmare…for my poor husband! It’s when incredible images like this drop in my inbox, I see the shear panic in his face at the thought of my extravagant plans for our vowel renewal; A vowel renewal which isn’t even happening but I get a little pleasure out of making him sweat!
But in all seriousness, my heart did skip a beat when For the Love of Pink landed in the inbox. This collaboration has given me serious wedding envy with this iconic look. Save the Date Magazine exists to help make planning your special day easy by sharing new ideas, trends, inspiration and introducing you to independent venues and wedding creatives that we love.
Without further ado, here’s Alrewas Hayes to tell us more about this insanely stunning collaboration...
How would you sum up the inspiration behind this submission in one paragraph?: “The aim of this styled shoot was to inspire couples who would like to add a pop of colour to their wedding day but are unsure how to incorporate this. It was also to show the versatility of Alrewas Hayes and the newly refurbished Lakeside.”
Tell us about the theme of submission?: “The shoot was about bringing a bold and brave colour palette to a whimsical styled wedding, and what better way to represent love than red and pink. From the striking red lip to the suave pink suit, the shoot was brimming with romance. Certain colours are swayed away from with the fear of them being too cliché, however the shoot shows how you can still be unique and make it completely your own with the use of different tones, flowers, textures and dimensions.”
“Primrose Avenue Floral went above and beyond to bring this vision to life and her beautiful floristry, passion and dedication shines through.”
Tell us about the venue?: “Alrewas Hayes is an exclusive-use wedding venue set in the heart of Staffordshire, boasting a harmonious balance of Country House grandeur with modern twists throughout. The neutral tones throughout Alrewas Hayes allows for complete flexibility on the colour palette of your wedding, so whether you envision chic neutrals or bold pops of colour for your Wedding Day; The Lakeside lends itself perfectly to any theme.”
