REFINED ROMANCE | With Willow & Rust
Introduction
When we saw the supplier list for this shoot, we knew it was going to be a goodie but when the gallery dropped so did our jaws!
We have seen some pretty amazing styled shoots in our time and this one really is up there, so we knew we just had to share it with you;
talk about inspiration galore.
There are pearls, cork poppings and all kinds of prettiness so where do we start? The venue, of course; Hodsock Priory is a historic country house wedding venue set in 800 acres of countryside on the border of Nottinghamshire and South Yorkshire. This carefully restored family home is an award-winning luxury wedding and event venue, surrounded by breath taking views and presented within luxurious gardens and rolling fields and offers the most spectacular backdrop for the shoot. Hodsock Priory’s epic proportions require some equally epic styling to hold its own and Samantha at Willow and Rust did not disappoint.
Showstopper florals from Meadows &Mulberry make a real statement and scream romance; dusky roses match perfectly with eucalyptus while pops of cornflower blue add depth and drama which we adore. From the cake to the stationery suite, the details all come together to create a truly refined look, captured timelessly by Helen Rose
Trend alert: Champagne towers are a massive trend for 2023 weddings for super chic photo opportunities so get the coupes stacked and the corks popping on your big day.
Of course, we wouldn’t be doing this write-up justice if we didn’t talk about the outfits. Iconic Bride provided. The most stunning pearl encrusted dress of dreams; perfect pearls drip down the gown from the full coverage bodice to create a truly gorgeous gown. Of course, if you have followed Save The Date for anytime, you will know that we are suckers for a well-dressed groom but extra bonus points for the full Tux. A last special mention to Kate Dawson Jewellery for the Sapphire stunner (psst, rumour has it that coloured gemstones are big for 2023 and beyond!).
We have fallen head over heels for everything about this shoot and we hope you have enjoyed it just as much as us.

This stunning country mansion, with its manicured gardens and breath-taking architecture, provides a picturesque backdrop for capturing enchanting moments. The grandeur of the Hall’s interiors, featuring intricate woodwork and period details, complements the delicate beauty of the tablescape décor and florals.

Sustainability in the wedding industry is gaining traction as couples seek to minimise the environmental impact of their special day. When this shoot landed in our inbox, we simply had to share for those of you who seek inspiration for sustainability on your own wedding day.

Without further ado, here’s Alrewas Hayes to tell us more about this insanely stunning collaboration...
We can be forgiven for wanting to float off into our dreamworld of idyllic weddings and not considering the environmental impact of our decisions for that one day. However, what if we told you that you could have your “green” cake and eat it; a sustainable wedding with all the latest trends. Sounds good, right?
Where do I begin looking for our perfect photographer, we hear you ask!
Here’s some top tips and trustworthy advice from the experts…
The variations of deep purple give real depth of colour and are a welcome change from the usual burnt orange and brown we see this time of year. Teamed with the hunter green, these colours are perfect for both indoor and outdoor as highlighted in the final images.
