As you amble up through Hope Valley and through the parish village of Grindleford surrounded by utterly idyllic scenery, you are met by an undeniably grand building. If a stunning location is high on your wedding-day-tick-list then The Maynard might just tickle you pretty!

Dating back to 1405, this building is steeped in history and following a 2020 refurbishment, the interiors do not disappoint. Here you will find all the luxe and style you could wish for but with a comforting, traditional twist which is hard to come by.

So what better place for this styled shoot?

Set in their Chatsworth Suite (a grand room with its panelled walls, a high ceiling and full-height windows, it is really quite something), this styled set-up complements the venue perfectly. The spindle backed chairs adorned with sage green voiles are simple but effective and make way for the feature florals taking centre stage. We just love how the gilded accents add a touch of elegance and opulence to the paired back vibes.

Effortless, romantic and perfectly pretty, this shoot is a masterclass in pulling off a contemporary take on classical wedding styling and we really quite like it.
