Part Two

Remember lovely Joe & Glenn, our gorgeous “Groom’s Journey” couple? We have been following their planning journey (check out part one here) and couldn’t be more excited that their big day really is just around the corner - THIS month in fact! It is, therefore, about time for us to find out a little more about what we can expect from their Pumping House nuptials

Have you chosen a colour palette or wedding theme?

We think the venue speaks for itself so we’ve kept everything quite simple using black, grey and white, clean lines and plenty of greenery

 

Where did you get your inspiration from?

Pinterest was good for initial ideas when we were looking for styles and themes. We saw a lot of things that we liked (and things we knew wouldn’t suit us) from social media accounts of our suppliers, including other weddings that they have worked on and other people they have worked with.

 

Are you asking friends and family to help DIY any of your wedding or are you delegating any tasks?

We’re relying mainly on our suppliers, especially as we’re planning from another country, but my (Joe)  mum’s house is turning into a post office with all of our various deliveries. A friend of ours makes fantastic cakes so we’re really happy to have booked her for ours, and we’re delighted she’s happy to transport it from Aberdeen!

We really want everyone to be able to relax on the day, especially after the 2 years we’ve had so no one has too many tasks on the day, other than my stepmum being an “emergency contact” for suppliers because I don’t want to know if anything is going wrong!

Lastly, as the day nears closer, what are you most excited about?

The whole day coming together after two years of planning and worrying about restrictions. And a big party, dancing the night away!
