| WEDDING ADVICE | 4 Reasons why you won’t regret booking a Wedding Videographer

A video that will last a lifetime!

Okay, so chances are that when you got engaged, you didn’t realise you’d be signing up to the absolute emotional minefield that is deciding between “having it all” verses having what your wedding budget actually allows. I would love to tell you why, if you can find space in that pesky budget, investing in a wedding video may just be the best thing you decide to book for your big day...

Bring your wedding photos back to life!

Despite how much you or your other half hate having your photo taken, I can almost guarantee that one of the first things you decided to book was a photographer, right? RIGHT. Well lovelies,“If a picture can say a thousand words, imagine the novels a video can write”. A lot of us default to negative associations with seeing ourselves on film; ‘I hate my voice’ or ‘I just find it really awkward to watch myself back’. Believe me, it’s human nature–I am as guilty of that as you! But please remember that video has a special kind of magic that no photo can ever achieve; it brings the people in them back to lifeand that is something you really can’t put a price on.

Re-live your day as soon as you press play

Anyone who has got married will tell you it’s a totally unforgettable day...that also passes in the blink of an eye! Of course you’re not going to forget it, but you will never be able re-live it and that’s when a wedding videographer has got you covered! Whilst it’s a given that you’ll get a beautifully edited film of all the best bits, I always provide the full footage of your ceremony and speeches as well so you can indulge in those extra special moments in exactly the way they happened

It's not as intrusive as you think it’s going to be!I

Totally get that for a lot of couples, having someone take photos of you all day is painful enough and so the thought of having a stranger come along to film as well is a step too far. This is exactly why all my kit fits into a backpack–yes, really! Video technology has come so far from the days of a wobbly shoulder mounted camcorder with a dodgy zoom. I work entirely handheld so can act like a proper ninja at capturing every element of your day while you barely notice me.

You’re investing in a part of your wedding that will stay with you forever.

When looking at the overall cost of a wedding, allocating what is usually a fair chunk of that to a videographer can seem unnecessary when considering all the things you ‘have’ to pay for: your venue, food, drink, outfits, flowers, cake, booze...but the irony is that once that glass of Prosecco has been drunk, the music is turned off and your wedding outfits goin to the wardrobe to live out the rest of their days, that’s it. None of these ‘essentials’ actually last beyond the day itself where as a wedding video, just like your photos, will be there forever...and for all the reasons I’ve already mentioned, that surely is priceless
