A Magical Marriage

Having worked with make-up artist Josephine Way for years, we had no doubt that her wedding day was going to have style in abundance, but even we were shocked by this absolute stunner of a wedding day. Step into these neutral nuptials with us as we catch up with Jo...

Lincolnshire country house, Aswarby Rectory, was the perfect setting for Jo and Ben’s day. The paired back décor creates backdrop to weddings which really elevates the couple’s styling. The caulky white walls are perfect mixed with dark wood and antique brass chandeliers to create the classiest of aesthetics, whilst the ceremony fireplace or winding hall staircase cry out for statement floral dressing-something Jo definitely took advantage of; she says

“The flowers also completely blew me away. Dani, from Peonies and Plumes, nailed the vibe and then some-I had pictured what they would be like but seeing them all in person was so incredibly special. As we walked in and the stairs were being prepped I think I might have let out an actual squeal” and we can see why!

For us, Jo’s effortlessly chic bridal look complete stole the show. A silk cami and trailing skirt were accessorised with sheer puffed sleeve top from local designer Susanna Greening. Jo completed the look with the most fabulous, oversized polka dot hair bow which really packed a style-punch. Even when all of the styling details are perfectly executed, we always think that what really *makes* a wedding day is the vibe and this was something that was particularly important to Jo and Ben;

“Our day was so super chilled and none stop laughs! We wanted something that was really relaxed and without too many formalities”

Furthermore, when looking back on the day this was even more apparent with Jo reflecting “It can be really hard not to get caught up in the little details but I promise you, on the day you truly won't care about any of those things-it's your wedding you’re planning, so just try to enjoy it!”

Some solid advice from an industry expert bride there and we couldn’t agree more!
