Welcome to the wedding of Emma and Oliver at Aswarby Rectory

An Autumn Aswarby Rectory Wedding

Emma & Oliver had a beautiful intimate autumnal wedding back in November 2021.
From a stunning breathtaking church ceremony to the incredible Aswarby Rectory with 50 of their nearest & dearest.
Emma and Oliver really have shown us that keeping it simple doesn’t mean you miss out on having one stylish wedding!

Emma is the talent behind Elu Designs Bespoke Veils & she created her own incredible veil for the day which was such a statement piece, with pearl & feather details & embroidered writing too.

Words from Bride Emma

"Our vision was to have a really relaxed cosy autumnal wedding day. Most of the details of our wedding day like our stationery and flowers we kept minimalistic as Aswarby Rectory is such a beautiful venue we really didn’t want to take away from that. Being in the Autumn we loved having the open fires on in the venue and having things like winter pimms and hot chocolate for the guests to warm up with after the church service. We also loved having s’mores in the evening it really added to cosy autumnal feel with the fire pits lit outside.”

Their vision is a great example of steering away from the classic Autumn colours and making the atmosphere cosy to give the hint of the winter months to come.

We love the touches of monochrome and allowing the colours of nature around the venues to bring Autumn vibes to their day!

Emma adds…

"I loved adding small personal details to our wedding day, all of our stationery I created myself with the help of a friend / bridesmaid. The font used in all the stationery was the same scripted font I used to embroider on my wedding veil that I created. All of the small personal details were really coherent throughout the day. Being a creative person it was really lovely to be able to add a small stamp of my own to our day. I think we managed to catch one of the last few days of autumn where there still was the lovely warm coloured leaves falling from the trees as we had our pictures taken outside- it was really beautiful. I loved how the groomsmen suits had a hint of rust orange in them which really picked up some of these natural colours outside. This was one of the first things Ollie said when we were planning our wedding, that he wanted a tweed style suit and that was our starting point to creating our cosy autumnal wedding.”

About the Venue…

Emma and Oliver fell in love with Aswarby Rectory the first time they visited and we can see why. Its rustic, stripped back and minimalistic venue was the prefect setting for their relaxed wedding. Offering that warm welcoming feel when you walk through the door.

This venue to it did not disappoint!
