Jenn & Stu
A Heart Warming Home Wedding
When one of the Save The Date family gets married, you know it is going to be an absolute treat and Jenn, who you may have seen running the social media at our events, did not let us down. Her day was one of the most genuine and sincere weddings we’ve seen (and we have seen a lot!). After multiple rounds of IVF, 2021 was finally the year for Jenn and Stuart which made the day even more poignant. Jenn says “The main reason we chose this year to get married was to have something to look forward to, knowing that if we were successful we’d have a bump joining us on our day, or if things didn’t go to plan, at least I could throw myself into wedding planning. Turns out, this was our year and we feel like we’ve been living in a fairy-tale ever since”.

Always planning to have an intimate wedding, the couple found the perfect wedding spot in Jenn’s Mum’s garden but they had to make it “legal” first. Instead of opting to make it official in a standard registry office, they made a day out of it with a pretty special ceremony at the beautiful Wollaton Hall. “Wollaton Hall is so beautiful and holds lots of memories for us which made it feel extra special to be able to become husband and wife there.
Added touches ensured that it was a day to remember from a graze board spread from Graze Days UK and the most romantic cello playing from Sorelle Cellos. Stu didn’t know I’d booked them so was quite taken aback when they started playing one of his favourite songs as I walked down the aisle. We were joined by our families and my good friend who wrote and read us a poem which took our breath away, it really was the most perfect day which we didn’t anticipate
For the big day, and with a little help from the dream duo Charlotte at Fine and Dandy and Simon at Pro-Aktiv events, Jenn set about turning the garden into a magical wedding wonderland; from festoons to stunning tablescapes, the transformation was remarkable. With live music from Lux Bay Duo in the air, the perfect party proceeded; “From our intimate vows, Stu’s best friends hosting the day, an emotional speech from my mum and best friends all the way through to delicious food from Homemade Café and unlimited free pouring drinks which led to dancing on the tables with our favourite people, every single second was everything we dreamt of and more.
Jenn’s Look
One of the most incredible experiences was having Susie from Susanna Greening Designs create my dress of dreams; it wasn’t the smallest of challenges knowing that every month I was going to change shape and size, but that didn’t phase Susie and I can’t put into words how much I love my dress and already planning on creating that scene in Friends with the girls so that we can all just sit on the sofa in our dresses so I can wear it again! When it hit the light right it had a golden glow which complimented the toffee tones from my stunning bouquet from Flowers In the Wild, a local florist that I’d only discovered a couple of months before and instantly fell in love with her creations. All set off by the golden glow from my fresh and romantic makeup by Josephine Way. As you can probably tell, I like gold tones!
