Flower & Romance Filled Elopement

If you heard a high pitched noise through the skies of the East Midlands recently, it may well have been when we first saw these pictures! We’ve been following Nottingham lass, Bex for a few years now and, especially after a year of covid postponements, we were thrilled to see her and Ryan finally tie the knot – and, let’s face it, in pretty legendary style too!

Encompassing all the lockdown wedding essentials, the couple opted for a micro, UK elopement; “On a gloriously sunny day in May, we jetted off to the lakes for a mini moon and long-awaited wedding! Just the two of us; we came away feeling we much preferred the day small and intimate (the thought of our original wedding party of 65 actually feels quite daunting now!). Our guests joined us online for the ceremony and we’ll hopefully have a party in a few months with loved ones”.

Can we just take a moment to talk about how amazing this pair look? From Bex’s old-school Hollywood glamour vibes to Ryan’s forest green dinner jacket, we just can’t get enough and if you are looking for a masterclass in wedding-day-posing, you have got it right there! After the ceremony, the couple enjoyed an intimate meal at the beautifully set table for two and, after a quick change into a slinkier little number for Bex, their first stroll around the gorgeous surroundings as husband and wife. We know, we know, how has it taken us this long to get onto that utterly insta-worthy masterpiece of a floral installation by The Lanes? Well, quite frankly, we will have to let the images speak for themselves as there are just no words. Absolute showstoppers!

“Who doesn’t want a reason to get dressed up, and spend a few days in one of your favourite places? We actually got engaged not too far from Langdale Chase so it felt the perfect place to semi-elope to. It was a truly gorgeous day and I’m so so glad we had the experience we did. It was stressful and upsetting at times to have to keep changing the plan but every cloud and all that…”
