Bride in Silver alternative wedding dress giving a fun speech

Introduction

With a new year upon us that can only mean one thing…wedding trends for 2023! New year, means new styles and, as you well know, we like to make sure that our Save The Date faithful are bang up to date! So, if you want your wedding day to be an absolute style fest then take note of these trend predictions from stylist-in-the-know, Tara Knott Styled Events;

Monochrome

It’s a trend that is here to stay for the foreseeable, modern, stylish monochrome weddings.Having worked with a number in the past year, it really feels like black is replacing gold in the details. There are many ways to incorporate this, we have used black cutlery, vases and candles teamed with white linens, stationery and florals, this effortless look works all year round using seasonal florals and plenty of candlelight. It encapsulates all that creates a timeless wedding style.

Party–colour clash

We used disco balls in our styling since 2018, and it’s a trend we are still loving. Couples are focusing on what is important to them and are throwing away the tradition of a formal sit down in favour of a party with street food. Bright colours, tassels, elaborate posing stations, disco balls and fun stationery are happening and we couldn’t be more pleased about it.Thinks pinks, reds and oranges...venues that work great for a party style–The River Mill, theChocolate Factory and the Italian mill at the Museum of making.

Dresses of Dreams

Non traditional gowns are going to be big in 2023.Sparkle, sequins, mini dresses and colour are all going to feature heavily. We adore this Vampire’s Wife wedding dress worn by a recent bride; perfect just-married vibes!

Celebrants

Couples are making it more personal and using a celebrant over a registrar. A celebrant works with couples and tells their stories, their words and can create the most special ceremony.

Pocket full of flowers

Forget the buttonhole as we know it, in 2023 you need a pocketful of florals. Rather than a pinned piece, we are seeing florists create a row of blooms to poke out of a jacket pocket and we just love it; this look can work for everyone and a lovely way of incorporating more colour.

The Tux

Lavender and pastels

Fix up, look sharp! Nothing really does beat a tux and this is set to be THE look of 2023; classic, cool 007 vibes for the win!

Pastels are not a new trend, but we are seeing more lilacs in set ups. It is a colour that has been seen in clothing and interiors and the introduction of this alongside pastels makes for fun and colourful style
